Providing Scholarships to help further education of graduating seniors from A.C. Flora

About Us

Dear Alumni,

In 2001 the parents of one of our classmates made a generous donation to start the A.C. Flora Scholarship Foundation. The purpose of the foundation is to provide scholarships for graduating seniors at A.C. Flora to help further their education. The donations are held in trust by the Central Carolina Community Foundation. Learn more about CCCF under their tab, or visit their website at yourfoundation.org.

We appreciate the support from lots of graduates since 2001 and look forward in our efforts to build the foundation and give additional help to our incredible scholarship applicants. Flora was and is a special place. We are excited about the future and invite you to be part of it.

Please email or call me if you have any questions, or if you would like to be involved further in our efforts.

How do I Apply for the Scholarship

Students can apply for the A.C. Flora Scholarship in the Central Carolina Community Foundation (CCCF) Scholarship Portal. Create a new account and select the General Scholarship Application on the “Apply” page by clicking the blue “Apply” button. Students will first take an eligibility quiz to see if they align with the criteria for the A.C. Flora Scholarship—and others that CCCF manages too! The criteria for the scholarship are:

Seniors at A.C. Flora High School
GPA of 2.75 or higher
Involvement in extracurricular and/or community activities
Demonstration of congeniality with students, staff, and faculty
Has financial need

All applications must be submitted through the portal linked above to be considered for this scholarship. The application is open each year from January 1 – March 5 (subject to change). After a volunteer committee reviews and scores applications, students will be notified of awards in April. Scholarships are paid in July for the Fall semester. For more information about the scholarship program at CCCF, visit our website or contact scholarship@yourfoundation.org.
